Bobi Wine has once again changed his mind on the fate of his praise singer Alex Waisswa Mufumbiro and relocated him to more cosmopolitan Nakawa Division.
Having been rejected in Baganda-dominated Kawempe South, Mufumbiro, who Basoga voters in Jinja have been rejecting since 2011, has now been switched to Nakawa East whose incumbent Ronald Balimwezo is being pushed by the NUP top organ to go for Lord Mayorship which Bobi Wine knows NUP can’t scoop for as long as Erias Lukwago still lives and is interested.
Balimwezo is headed for the political Taiwan come 2026 because he is among those actors who Bobi Wine is prepared to politically sacrifice along with others like Shamim Malende whose Kampala Woman MP slot is being donated to Euginia Nassolo who is wealthy and more established in the Catholic Church and at Mengo.
Fred Nyanzi is also being relocated from Segirinya’s Kawempe North to South of Kazibwe Bashir. Kawempe North is being abandoned because Bobi Wine realizes it’s full of Muslims who may not be comfortable electing Nyanzi, a Catholic.
The Sentamu family is also fearing the public debate and anger that would be directed at them for mistreating Mr. Update when he is ailing and deserves sympathy and not marginalization.
Lawyer Erias Nalukoola Luyimbazi who recently quit DP will most likely be fronted since he is a Muslim and more sellable than old man Latif Sebaggala Sengendo. Latif, who risks being expelled from NUP and can never do without standing, will end up campaigning for Kawempe Mayorship against Serunjogi Oweddembe who has been a meal card politician all his life.
There is also Nubian Lii who Magere wants to either take up Balimwezo’s position or run for Nakawa Mayorship and end the political career of Paul Mugambe.
Some sources say that in order to deepen the isolation of Mathias Mpuuga, Bobi Wine is also considering to reconcile with veteran politician and lawyer Kenneth Paul Kakande and give him the NUP flag for Nakawa East where Balimwezo is currently serving as MP.
