EXPOSED: The Bitter Truth Behind Betty Amongi’s NBS Deep Dive Appearance

The Wednesday 10 PM NBS Deep Dive program, which promised an in-depth look into the 2026 electoral landscape, instead turned into a platform for a personal vendetta and whining about one loser’s defeat-related grievances.

Viewers across Lira City and Uganda watched pensively as an emotionally wounded Hon. Betty Amongi attempted to rewrite the history of her recent political downfall, using the airtime to launch a smear campaign against the “Darling of Lira,” Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero.

A Performance Fuelled by Bitterness: Throughout the show, it became evident that the “Ranting Queen” has yet to find peace with her move to Lira City, which ended in a humiliating political defeat from which she may never recover.

Rather than presenting facts, to show how exactly her victory was hijacked as she has been whining since January, the program felt like the ‘Ranting Queen’s’ desperate plea for sympathy. Amongi’s narrative attempted to cast shadows on a democratic process that saw her demonstrably rejected by the very grassroots she claimed to lead.

The people of Lira City are not easily fooled. They recognize that these televised “deep dives” are late-night attempts to grab the attention of the Appointing Authority in a bid to remain relevant.

However, the political reality is already set in stone: namely that the “The ceng A Lango” Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng achieved what many thought impossible—politically obliterating an incumbent minister through a simple, people-centered and God-fearing approach.

Divine Victory Over “Invincibility Supernatural” Claims:

In a personality where political whispers often involve “external powers”—from Nigeria to Congo—this election proved a different point entirely. As the saying goes, “What God cannot do does not exist.” Dr. Aceng’s victory was not built on high-end TV appearances or foreign influence; it was built on the ground, in the wards of Lira City, and under the cover of divine grace.

The attempts to blame everyone—from the Speaker of Parliament to the UPDF—for her loss are being viewed by the public as the “five stages of grief.” Amongi is currently stuck in the “denial and anger” phase.

Lira City Stands Firm for 2031:

If Hon. Betty Amongi believes that TV lies will win back the hearts of Lango, she is mistaken.

The citizens of Lira City remain committed to defending their decision. Dr. Aceng remains the “Ceng Atedero” (the Sun that has risen) and the population is already sending a clear message: namely that the same shield that protected her in 2026 will be even stronger come 2031.

The “public shame” that Amongi feels today is not a result of a conspiracy, but a result of underestimating the intelligence of the Lira voter. Lira City has moved on; it is time for the fallen “Queen of Confusion” to do the same.
