END OF THE ROAD? Nyanjura Doreen Fails to Get where to Stand in 2026 & Is Now Considering Taking Up NGO Job

Deputy Lord mayor Nyanjura Doreen is stuck for where to stand next come 2026. Yet standing for elections is the only job this master’s degree holder has ever done in her entire life.

She has been the Lord Councilor representing Makerere since the year 2016 and by 2026, she will have done 10 straight years. Makerere voters are tired of her quarrelsomeness and want to move on with someone else come 2026. They also say she is stingy and doesn’t easily part with her cash. They also have a problem with her contempt towards Bobi Wine and his NUP Party.

They consider Nyanjura unelectable and having made good money as Deputy lord mayor they now want her to go for a bigger elective position.

The EC has been reorganizing electoral areas and even her Makerere territory has been altered with more villages outside the University being added. This has made things even more complicated for the stinking rich Nyanjura Doreen.

She had considered Kampala Woman MP but clearly her chances are minimal because of the NUP and ethnicity factor. Even Malende Shamim is in problems with some NUP insiders saying she should go and stand in Mbale where she comes from.

Nyanjura is being asked to go and stand in her birth place of Kyenjojo now that she is rich having made good money as deputy lord mayor.

She fears Kyenjojo because NRM is very strong there and she doesn’t stand any chance. This is why letting things go and bowing out to look for jobs in the NGO world remains her only option after 2026. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com.
