Here Is Why CEC Bosses Are the Most Hated & Not many in NRM like Them!

Inside NRM, the young people are unhappy to have Nasir Qadafi staying around as their national chairman for the youth league yet he is in his 40s, and not a youth anymore. They think that this is unfair and some of them think this is part of the reason why most youths in Uganda don’t find the ruling party attractive and are all for NUP and Kyagulanyi.

In NRM, it’s all about eating and there is anger that Qadafi, who became youth chairman in 2016 has, continued enjoying himself and pocketing more than 15m per month as a salary for being the CEC member and youth league chairman, yet he is not in the youth age anymore.

He has other benefits like the president buying for him a brand new car every year at not less than 350m from Kampala modernity car bond in Bugolobi. The NRM secretariat fuels it for him and pays for the garage. He also benefifs from being able to meet president Museven regularly as a CEC member.

He is also a director at the immigration dept. on Jinja road, which he got through the CEC connection. At immigration, he gets a lot of influence and a lot of money earned in dollars. This is all annoying young people in NRM who see Qadafi as tying himself on them and eating things in their name yet he is not one of them anymore.

They are again annoyed because he doesn’t help or share all this money and benefits with anyone. The poor youths of NRM are also annoyed that Qadafi isn’t outspoken and they don’t see him on media confronting NUP leaders many of whom are young people. The young people want him out of CEC very quickly.

In Luwero where he claims to come from and wants to represent as Katikamu MP, Qadafi isn’t liked because of ethnicity. The place is full of Baganda and many say he is aloof and not a people-person. He a Nubian from Amin’s group.

NUP foot soldiers keep challenging him that he hasn’t used his CEC position to tell Museven about Luwero’s problems which is why the area is full of bad roads, poor hospitals and poor public schools.

Instead of getting things done for Luwero, Qadafi behaves like an RDC or muruka councilor by moving around to harass head teachers of UPE schools asking them why they charge kids for lunch. The RDCs and elected leaders feel that the CEC member is too big and should be leaving such small things to them.

And Qadafi isn’t alone in that category of hated CEC members; even in eastern cadres are tired of Mukula and want him out. Their hope is now in Kasule Lumumba who they think can defeat him in party elections.

In northern Uganda, Sam Engora is hated for similar reasons of over staying and not benefiting cadres at the grass root. In Kampala metropolitan Singh Katongore Marwahah is facing problems because he is arrogant and hasn’t worked for the people.

NRM women want Lydia Wanyoto out because like Qadafi she has stayed for long without elections and doesn’t share with anyone the money she gets from NPA, UPDF and CEC at Kyadondo.

Chris Baryomunsi is also on sleepless nights because cadres in the west want someone else as per now. They say he is having many positions in CEC, cabinet and being the MP Kinkizi West.

Kiwanda for Buganda is also facing it rough because he disobeyed the president and went to Mityana to disturb the president’s beloved cadre Nsegumile Kibedi.

Kiwanda has also served only himself and cadres in the greater Mityana area say he hasn’t helped them apart from fighting fellow NRM leaders like Nabakooba and they are determined to give the Buganda NRM chair to Haruna Kasoro or Moses Kirangwa Karusa.

The president had advised Kiwanda to leave those things of standing for the MP post and concentrate on CEC but he refused and is now headed for defeat by Kasoro. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
