Police in the Wamala Region have confirmed that three people lost their lives and several others were injured during clashes between security forces and protesters following the announcement of presidential and parliamentary election results.
According to the Wamala Region Police spokesperson, Lameck Kigozi, the deceased have been identified as Mulinda Deo, a driver and resident of Kigando in Kyankwanzi District; Lubega Kizza, a boda boda rider operating at Wabigalo stage in Mityana Municipality; and Ashraf Taalugende, a resident of Kiboga District.

He appealed to residents of the region to remain calm and urged those dissatisfied with the electoral process to seek justice through lawful and legal channels.
