A growing section of muslims in Luwero district’s Katikamu county are up in arms demanding action against Immigration Directorate Director Faddafi Nasur who they say deliberately served them on meat from a cow which had died four days earlier at his farm located in Nsozibirye village in Luwero sub county.
Gaddafi has a farm sitting on 70 acres of disputed land which he claims to be his as a kibanja holder. He has many cows there and disgruntled workers now say that each time a cow dies, their boss Gaddafi who wants to become the new Katikamu county MP in 2026, orders them to slaughter the same and have the meat distributed to local residents from whom he wants votes on the NRM ticket against NUP’s Denis Sekabira and independent candidate Ronald Ndawula.
On the most recent occasion, a cow went missing only for its carcas to be discovered four days later. The farm employees were ordered to cut it into meat and pack it into polythene bags for distribution to local residents.
This time round the order was for the meat to be exclusively distributed to muslims residents. Many of them lined up to pick kilos of meat well wrapped in polythene bags.
Days later, some began complaining of stomach upsets which prompted one of the farm workers, a muslim young man, to implode.
Being a practicing devout muslim himself, the young man couldn’t keep quiet for long. His conscience kept haunting him for doing such a Haram act.
He was later on encouraged by his peers to go public and that’s how a village meeting was a few days ago convened for him to break the sad news to fellow residents.
He tearfully narrated how he couldn’t keep quiet merely because of his job when he knows in heaven only hell awaited him for taking part in such Haram.
He says this is what they have always been ordered to do each time a cow dies at the farm of Gaddafi who is also the NRM CEC member representing the youth league. He is also the national chairman for all the NRM youth in the country.
Some of the angry residents led by Sunday Muniina have petitioned the area RDC and authorities at Kasana Police station with demands that Gaddafi gets arrested and prosecuted for doing such a Haram act which defiles Islam on top of endangering lives of the very people he wants to represent in Parliament come 2026.
The distribution of the meat from the dead cow was done by a team of farm workers who were coordinated by a boda boda rider only identified as Kalwanyi-URN. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
