Museveni Blasts Karangwa Over Dirty Kayunga Land Deals, Praises Aidah Nantaba

Led by Dean Lubowa Saava, a group of Kampala-based YouTubers and social media influencers have declared online war on Kayunga NRM Chairman Moses Karangwa Kariisa who is also contesting to become the new NRM chairman for central region during the Wednesday elections at Kololo.

Lubowa Saava, an investigative journalist who for years has been documenting Karangwa’s controversial land deals, says president Museveni was right and did the best thing last Thursday when he interrogated Karangwa during the CEC vetting exercise at Entebbe state house.

Museveni thanked Nantaba for relentlessly exposing Karangwa’s controversial land deals and assured him that general Nalweyiso was spearheading investigations into land grabbing petitions state house has been getting about the same.

During a Tuesday evening panel discussion on his YouTube and Tik Tok channels of TV10 Gano Mazima, Saava said the only thing he regrets is that the president took long to take a clear stand against Karangwa at whose hands he claims many innocent powerless Ugandans have lost life in the process of defending themselves against land grabbing.

Appearing with two other prominent bloggers including Jacob Walukuba and Mukwaba Katende, an expert on land matters, Saava fearlessly said that the extent of Karangwa’s land-related injustices is greater than the president will ever know.

He requested for a meeting to fully brief the president on his findings of Karangwa’s aggressive activities on land which Saava says have been committed not only in Kayunga but in Mubende and other parts of Buganda.

Saava read out names of people he claimed had been killed and lost life for Karangwa to satisfy his greed for land. He read out a long list and even mentioned their relatives, families they come from and said he has a very big file on Karangwa’s land-related scandals which he wants to share with the president.

Saava, whose YouTube and Tik Tok channels have a lot of followers, asserted that it will be a big mistake for NRM delegates to elect such a man to become NRM chairman for Buganda, a region he said was full of people and land grab victims who hate Moses Karangwa with a passion.

Without endorsing any of the candidates for the CEC for central region, Saava advised NRM delegates to consider voting someone else and not Karangwa if they want their party to have any chance at winning back the love of voters in Buganda.

“NRM’s biggest problem in Buganda is land grabbing and this is what Karangwa has been accused of not just in Kayunga but other parts of Buganda. How can he be the vice chairman for the region and NRM gets votes there? It won’t happen and NUP will be the biggest winner the day Karangwa emerges winner at the party elections in Kololo,” predicted Saava who vowed to remain outspoken about the matter until Karangwa gets locked up in Luzira. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
