Hanifa Karadi was offered 400m to pull out of the Kawempe race for the NRM candidate Faridah Nambi. However, she rejected the offer making it clear that this was just peanuts yet she is worth much more.

People who offered her the money of behalf of the NRM candidate refused to increase the same to more than 400m making it clear she isn’t politically that significant. They informed the president she is a very uncompromising saboteur who is determined to split the NRM vote and create problems for Faridah Nambi.

This stabbing in the back angered Karadi who reacted by becoming even more hostile towards the NRM candidate who she says wasn’t fairly given the flag. She believes it was given to Nambi because of her parentage and dynastic tendencies inside the party.

Prime minister Robinah Nabbanja says that Karadi went to her Makerere Kavule home and demanded to speak to the president before bowing out of the race. Nabbanja says she asked the president to ring Karadi and he did but she was surprised the babe from Mbarara still remained in the race.

On Tuesday as Nambi had her final rally, the independent candidate Karadi came around and sat in the tent. She sat strategically so as to be noticed by the president but the man from Rwakitura totally ignored her. Museveni behaved as if he wasn’t seeing her.

She even tried to raise her hand to signal that she wanted to come to the podium to say something but Museveni totally disregarded her. This made her to feel useless and unwanted and in the end she spent the entire evening shedding buckets of tears, which blackmail still didn’t save her as the president still disregarded her. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
