Rubaga north MP Abubaker Kawalya, who is also the special friend to KCCA speaker Zahara Luyulika, is sad and blue and he is these days financially deflated.
This is the reason why he is nowadays scarce and rare at NUP public functions. Info reaching our desk shows that Kawalya recently was lured into a gold deal that turned out bad.
He was duped in China to part with 2bn shillings only to end up conned by the Chinese and Nigerian cons who turned out to be much smarter than him. The cons threatened to cause Kawalya’s arrest and hanging in China if he didn’t back off.
Poor man, he coiled his tail and returned to Uganda where he is currently living quietly at his home in Kajjansi along Entebbe road.
Sources say that Kawalya was trying to use that gold deal-gone-bad to raise huge cash for his 2026 reelection campaigns.
