Anifa Kawooya the general duties minister at the MoH has lost the bid to influence the outcome of NRM village elections in Kenziga village in Mawogola west Ssembabule district.

Anifa won to be the chair for the old persons in that village but all her candidates for other positions in that same village lost-the NRM village chairman, vice chairman and general secretary.

They were defeated by candidates fronted and sponsored by woman MP Mary Begumisa whose husband Wilberforce Begumisa is battling to remove Anifa from being Mawogola west MP. Anifa has been MP from Ssembabule since the days of CA in 1993.

Being defeated at village elections in the village where she stays shows how exhausted she is after serving for more than 30 years in one position.

Anifa now fears that the defeat of her agents will increase chances for Wilberforce Begumisa to defeat her in NRM primaries.

She says she is going to report to the president and show him how Begumisa’s camp stole elections in that village by bringing in fake and ghost voters.
