NUP foot soldiers plus reporters working at parliament are wondering why Nakaseke south MP Lutamaguzi Ssemakula, all along thought to be incorruptible and fearless when it comes to fighting corruption, hasn’t had guts so far to condemn president Museveni and the office of government chief whip for squandering roughly 40bn to give MPs an easter package.

Museveni came out a few days ago and confirmed giving the money and condemned deputy president Muwanga Kivumbi and the entire NUP leadership for being hard on opposition MPs who accepted the same.

NUP through the LoP Joel Ssenyonyi has demamded that every opposition MP who is appalled by the easter cash bonanza appends his or her signature castigating M7 and making it clear they won’t be taking up the evil money.

So far as of Tuesday, Joel Ssenyonyi had 72 signatures from the collective opposition caucus of more than 105 MPs.

The name of Lutamaguzi wasn’t on the list of the 72 and even journalists at parliament have been wondering why the man who castigated Mpuuga for the 500m he received from the parliamentary commission and is always very outspoken, has continued to be as quiet as a grave yard.

The journalists at parliament have been looking for him for a bite on the 100m but the man from Kasangombe has remained elusive.
