Thousands of Christians across Uganda today joined the rest of the world in the ecumenical way of the cross, a religious practice where Christians of different denominations and traditions come together to commemorate the Stations of the Cross.

The Friday event, brought together thousands of believers who walked in solidarity through major towns and cities across the country, a devotion that reflects on the final journey of Jesus Christ to Calvary.

Carrying crucifix and crosses, the faithful’s walked and knelt down at each of the 15 Stations of the Cross that commemorates Jesus Christ’s last day on Earth as a man.
