Lodrick Kibaba Ngangasi, the former Royal Deputy Minister of Culture, has been laid to rest at his ancestral land in Mbunga Sub-County Kasese District.

A revered figure in the Kingdom was remembered for his unwavering commitment to fostering and preserving Rwenzururu’s cultural heritage.

The Royal Cabinet Minister of Culture, Katy Aganatia, described Kibabaa as a hardworking individual who loved the kingdom deeply.

She said the kingdom had lost an important leader, whose contributions significantly shaped the cultural landscape of Rwenzururu.

Hosea Baluku, the youth minister, expressed a sense of hopelessness among the youth, lamenting that the current generation lacks knowledge about the kingdom’s history and values.

Baluku John, Minister Without Portfolio, also mourned the loss, stating that as a kingdom, they have lost a knowledgeable man whose wisdom was vital for our progress.

The Kingdom’s spokesperson, Geoffrey Kanyonyi, confirmed that King Rwenzururu is mourning alongside Kahangira’s family.
