Security in Kwania District has barred candidates of the National Resistance Movement-NRM party from using bouncers as bodyguards during the Joint campaign.

Obada Caesar, Kwania Assistant Resident District Commissioner, said only police and the UPDF personnel will be allowed to work during the campaign period because the bouncers lack professionalism, asking the candidates to refrain from causing chaos, intimidation and violence during the campaign.

George KK Akaca, Aduku town council LCV Councillor, who has shown interest in the Kwania District LCV Seat, welcomed the ban with excitement. He urged candidates who have gone unopposed to avoid siding with and lobbying for candidates who are battling for the NRM flags.

Moses Odongo, Kwania District NRA Electoral Commission Chairperson, warned the candidates against violence during the joint campaigns. Odongo rallied the party Registrars at the sub-county and Parish levels to remain neutral during the primary Election period-URN.
