It Wouldn’t Have Been You to Betray Mpuuga! You Lived On His Handouts for Years! Phone Caller Luba Kyoya Tells Off Muwanga Kivumbi

A Kampala radio caller Luba Kyoya has cursed Muwanga Kivumbi for being such a traitor who doesn’t keep friends. Siding with Mathias Mpuuga, Kyoya says it wouldn’t have been Muwanga Kivumbi to turn guns on the Nyendo Mukungwe MP because he wants to please Kyagulanyi.

Luba was speaking on CBS where Muwanga Kivumbi was being discussed for leading the war to chase Mpuuga and Abed Bwanika from parliament. Luba said that there are many good things which Mpuuga did for Muwanga when he was still a poor man sleeping in the chairs of his elder sister at Kawempe Kirokole.

Luba said a friend is a friend and politics shouldn’t cause Muwanga Kivumbi to turn against his brother Mpuuga. Muwanga says he also helped Mpuuga by sharing his little Kikomamdo with him when both of them were still broke.

Luba said there is no way he can turn against tycoon Lawrence Mulindwa because of politics because he has always given him handouts to survive on. He said even Mohammed Nsereko has always been there for him with cash handouts and can’t turn guns on him even if they disagree politically.

He told Muwanga Kivumbi to do the same because there is no way a good Muganda man can turn against a fellow Muganda because of political differences. Muwanga Kivumbi says that he has to tell Mpuuga when he makes mistakes even if they have been friends for a long time.

Ssemujju Nganda agreed with Luba and said its true Muwanga Kivumbi was living in total poverty for a long time and he didn’t have anything as of 2012 when Mpuuga and others used to fundraise for him.

Ssemujju says that Muwanga Kivumbi should realise he still needs his old friends and fellow actors in opposition even when he is the deputy president of NUP which right now is a strong party.

Ssemujju says one day Muwanga will wake up when the NUP ticket doesn’t sell that much the way its selling today. He says Museveni and his son Muhoozi are planning a lot of violence in 2026 and time will come when Muwanga needs everyone in opposition to stand with him and not just NUP mrmbers and flags.

Ssemujju says Muwanga Kivumbi shouldn’t forget old friends who were there for him when he was politically and financially at his weakest point a few years ago. Luba Kyoya warned that Muwanga might lose his Butambala seat when he is busy moving to fight old friends in their own constituencies.

Ssemujju Nganda said he has no problem facing Muwanga-backed George Musisi in Kira municipality because the constitution of Uganda allows Muwanga to support whoever he wants in 2026. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
