Anita Among Lures The Mbabazis to Further Isolate Kadaga

Anita Among is a great strategist and will evidently win to become the next 2nd vice chairman for NRM unless Museven pulls her out and stops her the way she stopped Odrek Rwabwogo some years ago when he was determined to defeat his old pal Brig Matayo Kyaligonza.

Anita Among of today is powerful, connected and stinking rich. She also has the speaker’s office which is very powerful.

She is now determined to remove Kadaga who has been 2nd vice chair and been sitting in CEC since 2005.

Kadaga clearly has no cards to win this. It’s Among with the cards and Kadaga will need to sell all her property and even take a huge bank loan to be able to win.

Using the clout that comes with being speaker of parliament, Anita is already mobilizing all groups that matter ahead of the NRM delegates conference and Kadaga will need divine intervention to even hold on to delegates from her native Busoga sub region alone.

Anita has already met elders and influential NRM party founders like Amama Mbabazi and his wife Jacqueline Ruhindi. These are influential elders who have to be consulted by the delegates.

It’s unlikely that Museven, who Anita speaks to almost on a daily basis by virtue of being speaker of parliament, will be coming to old lady Rebecca Kadaga’s rescue.

Kadaga recently publicly complained how lack of frequent audience with the president had made it hard for her to follow up on many of the Busoga related pledges by Mzee Kaguta.

She can’t get Museven via telephone as it used to be. Neither does he pay attention to her letters.

In cabinet recently, she raised her hand and sought for guidance on how she can get a private moment with the president and Museven simply apologized not returning her calls and promised to call her back at the opportune moment.

This was some 4 months ago and knowledgeable sources say he hasn’t called her back up to now.

She has also already lost many allies even in Busoga including MPs Milton Muwuma, Maurice Kibalya and the Kyabazinga kingdom whose officials she is angry at because they refused to join her in pushing back against Anita Among years ago when she first declared herself Mama Busoga.
