The Uganda Police Force is mourning the death of its Director for Legal, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Charles Kataratambi, who passed away this morning.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kituuma Rusoke, the Police Spokesperson, confirmed the demise and said more details will be provided later. According to officers at Naguru Police Headquarters, AIGP Kataratambi had been unwell for some time.
He was reinstated into active service about two years ago after spending several years on indictment over accusations of corruption, bribery, and fraud. His appointment to head the Directorate of Legal at the time sparked surprise among sections of the force due to his tainted public image.
