Here’s Why Masaka Mayor Florence Namayanja is no longer a Darling at Magere

Masaka mayor Florence Namayanja fought hard against Mathias Mpuuga because she was sure she was going to be made the new NUP deputy president for Buganda after the former LoP’s knifing.

This never happened. Namayanja waited and waited and in the end the position was given to Muwanga Kivumbi. This angered her and made her to feel unwanted.

Then Namayanja was also dented when she refused to warm up to lawyer Sam Muyizi whose coming into NUP from DP she saw as a plot by Kavule to overshadow her after Mpuuga’s exit.

She started feuding and working against Muyizi by fronting Makerere bursar Lubowa Sebina Gyavira for the position of Nyendo Mukungwe MP.

Then recently Mpuuga had a big convention for his DF party and it was hosted in Masaka.

The event was very successful and was attended by a lot of people in their thousands plus getting a lot of media publicity in Kampala, something which made Kyagulanyi to have sleepless nights.

Namayanja was blacklisted at Kavule as a failure because each time she was asked for intelligence from inside the Mpuuga camp, she wouldn’t have it.

This made her bosses at Kavule to become even more disappointed in Namayanja. These days she feels sidelined and not very much liked by her bosses at Kavule.

A demoralized Namayanja is only waiting to get her NUP ticket and concentrate on her reelection campaign as Masaka mayor as opposed to over investing in party activities at the national level. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
