The former vice president, Dr. Specioiza Wandira Kazibwe, was rushed to Jinja Hospital on Sunday night after being involved in a motor vehicle accident along the Kayunga-Njeru road in Buikwe District.
Ssezibwa Regional Police Spokesperson Helen Butoto confirmed that Dr. Kazibwe was traveling with her 17-year-old grandson, Igapira Wandika when the accident occurred.
The incident happened after the front tire of their Toyota Land Cruiser, registration number UG2372M, burst while traveling from Kayunga towards Njeru.
