‎‎The deceased has been identified as Jeremiah Mayiga, a Kabukunga Primary School pupil in Kamira Sub-county, Luwero District who died after beatings on August 18, 2026, at Kabukunga Village.

‎‎According to the boy’s mother, Joan Nalugo, she had left her children under the care of her husband, Nicholas Sekyanzi, about two weeks earlier while she attended to a sick relative.

‎‎“Police recovered the stick and conveyed the body to Luwero Hospital for postmortem. Witness statements have been recorded, and a manhunt is underway to arrest the suspect for prosecution,” Twineamazima said.
