With Friends Like Muwanga Kivumbi, Bobi Doesn’t Need Enemies! Abed Bwanika Spills Secrets

By KT Reporter

Abed Bwanika on CBS radio showed how Muwanga Kivumbi is a very treacherous politician full of intrigue.

Bwanika said that Kyagulanyi would be president today if it wasn’t for Muwanga’s intrigue. He says in 2020 all DP bloc bosses and those involved in UYD reunion meetings organised a meeting at Makerere guest house. Muwanga was among them.

Bwanika says during that meeting they all agreed they had a duty to understand for Kyagulanyi, because he was a political novice, as opposed to manipulating him.

Bwanika says they decided there was no need for Kyagulanyi struggling to start a new party because it was costly and in any case Museven wouldn’t allow the EC to register it.

It was agreed that Kyagulanyi had a lot of political electricity and millions of supporters who would follow him in whatever party he joined as long as it wasn’t NRM.

Bwanika says the meeting agreed that DP under Mao was okay and only lacked electricity, to overshadow Besigye, which Kyagulanyi had in the whole country.

Masaka Court to Deliver Verdict on Kalungu East Vote Recount Application on January 27

It was decided the DP constitution gets amended so that the party president doesn’t automatically become the presidential candidate.

Mao would remain party president for DP, and Kyagulanyi becomes the presidential candidate.

Bwanika said an alliance between Mao and Kyagulanyi was enough to defeat Museven.

He says Mao would deliver the Acholi solid vote and parts of West nile, Lango and Karamoja. Bwanika says with Kyagulanyi delivering Buganda and Busoga the way he did, Museven would be gone forever in 2021.

He says all this plan failed because Muwanga treacherously travelled to Gulu at night to prematurely alert Mao who panicked and saw the Makerere meetings as conspiracy against him. Bwanika says they knew how to deliver the news to Mao in a way that wouldn’t scare him.

He says Muwanga decided to go behind their back and report to Mao prematurely because he never wanted the Mao-Kyagulanyi alliance to work because it would weaken Museven. Bwanika says Kyagulanyi had no problem with this deal because it would increase his chances to become president, which Besigye had failed four times.

Bwanika says they will never forgive Muwanga because he is the one who caused Mao to become paranoid and begin to fight Kyagulanyi because Muwanga made him think he wanted to overthrow him from the DP big office. Muwanga appeared on CBS days later and refused to respond to this treachery claims and said Bwanika was a very small politician for him to respond to.

Bwanika says that Muwanga did all this because he was envious of the quick political success Kyagulanyi was going to get through that alliance.

He adds that the war between Kyagulanyi and Mpuuga was also created by Muwanga who kept reporting fake things to Kyagulanyi about Mpuuga’s work as LOP.

He says Muwanga created fear in Kyagulanti that Mpuuga was a bad man yet in actual sense he just wanted Mpuuga to be fired and he becomes NUP deputy president for Buganda.

Bwanika says after Muwanga caused Kyagulanyi to fire Mpuuga, he started lobbying for the LOP job by going to Magere with trucks full of food, matooke, chickens, goats, turkeys, sheep, cows and other groceries in order to make Kyagulanyi think he was a good man.

Bwanika says Kyagulanyi all along knew that Muwanga despised him privately and wasn’t prepared to make him LOP.

Bwanika says when things became hard, Muwanga ferried a delegation of Sheikhs to Magere to plead with Kyagulanyi to make him LOP.

Bwanika says that everything Muwanga is going to do as NUP deputy president will leave Kyagulanyi and NUP weakened because that is the only project the Butambala MP was given by his master who Bwanika promised to reveal in the near future.

Bwanika is angry because Muwanga announced a list of MPs who NUP won’t return in 2026 and its full of people like him and other Mpuuga supporters. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
