The ongoing anti-theft and anti- misappropriation of public funds in Local Govts, led by the responsible Minister, Hon. Balaam Barugahara and his junior, Hon. Justine Nameere is coming up with very interesting findings.
A number of Local Government technocrats and heads of Govt-funded schools have been caught “with pants down” for failure to account for huge sums of public funds spent on dubious and shoddy public works. And this is greatly applauded!!!
However, I have a few questions: why did this campaign begin in Bulambuli, part of the wider Bugisu sub-region?
Is it because Bulambuli has been the “most rotten” district?
Or is it because Bulambuli was the hardest to tackle, hence they have begun with the hardest to end with the easiest? If so, what is hardest about Bulambuli? The terrain/landscape, cooperation from officials?
The depth of the cancer? Etc, etc, etc?
Why Bulambuli first?
Is the crusade designed to go according to the alphabetical order? Therefore, the Bulambuli which starts with letter “B” had to be the first?
Or is it because it is renowned for widespread theft, diversion, misappropriation, under-allocation, misallocation, misuse/abuse, of public funds??
