Three Incumbents Defeated in Greater Luwero NRM Primaries

The incumbent Nakaseke North Member of Parliament, Enock Nyongore, has been defeated in the NRM primaries.

Paul Tandeka, the Nakaseke District NRM Registrar, declared Professor Wilber Ahebwa, the founder of Greater Ngoma Development Foundation, as the winner of the primaries after scoring 5871 votes, defeating incumbent MP Nyongore, who garnered 3890 votes. Phillip Ndamira Tumukunde trailed in third position after getting 1178 votes, Jovia Ampaire scored 355 votes, former NBA TV journalist Julius Nabimanya got 326 votes and Fred Isanga Mwesigwe 252 votes.

Tandeka also declared Kabuye Kyofa, the State Minister for Kampala Metropolitan Affairs, as winner for Nakaseke Central MP primaries after scoring 13,373 votes, defeating former sub-county Chief Sophie Kaikara Jannet, who garnered 2,210 votes, and Gabriel Byamukama got 67 votes.

Tandeka also declared incumbent Nakaseke District Woman MP Sarah Najjuma as flagbearer after scoring 51,193 votes, defeating Winnie Mbabazi, who got 2023.

Charles Nsereko Basajjanaku was also declared the winner of Nakaseke South MP flag, garnering 26,156 votes, defeating Arthur Nkalubo, who garnered 1247 votes, Idi Kigozi got 527 votes, and Sharon Kobusingye got only 275 votes.

From Luwero, Osuman Lubega Basajjanaku declared Gaddafi Nasur the Chairman of the NRM Youth League as the winner of the Katikamu North MP flag after garnering 9096 votes and defeating his rival, Ronald Ndawula, the district chairman got 6931 votes. Michael Bukenya emerged third with 362 votes.

Lubaga also declared Abubaker Kalume as the NRM flagbearer for the Katikamu South MP seat after he scored 16,692 votes, defeating his close rival Patricia Magara, who got 5,880 votes, and Marvin Mugisha came third with 5747 votes and Sulait Nsubuga, endorsed by Former Minister Abdul Nadduli, trailed with 366 votes.

In Bamunanika county, Dr Kiyini Lule, the former aide to Minister John Chrysestom Muyingo, was declared as flagbearer after scoring 16,350 votes, and his rival, Elizabeth Salabwa, got 4002 votes. The Former area MP, Ali Ndawula Sekyanzi, trailed with 3,989 votes.

In Nakasongola district, Noah Mutebi Wanzala, the Incumbent Member of Parliament for Nakasongola County, was defeated by businessman Stephen Tibelondwa Bujjingo. Mutebi scored 7186 votes, whereas Bujjingo garnered 10531 votes , hence declared the flagbearer

In Budyebo County, the incumbent MP Bernard Kirya was also defeated by engineer Berunado Kimezze Ssebugga.

Ssebugga was declared the flagbearer after he scored 11,811 votes, defeating Kirya, who got 11064 votes, and five others.

Meanwhile, incumbent Nakasongola district woman MP Victoria Zawedde Naranzi retained the flag after defeating six other candidates in the race.
