The Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja, joined the Vice President, Jessica Alupo, and Christians to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Mt. Sion Prayer Centre Bukalango in Wakiso District.

The celebrations marked 25 years since the establishment of the prayer centre, a milestone that drew reflection on its impact in spiritual growth and community transformation.

Nabbanja congratulated the leadership, clergy, and congregation of the centre, describing the anniversary as a testament to a legacy of faith and dedication. She paid tribute to the late Expedito Magembe, the founder of the centre, for his visionary leadership.

She noted that Mt. Sion Prayer Centre has grown into a major hub for prayer, healing, and spiritual renewal, attracting pilgrims from across Uganda and beyond.

The Prime Minister highlighted the strong collaboration between the government and the leadership of Bukalango, noting that the relationship has supported the centre’s growth over the years.

She cited government contributions, including support towards the establishment of Bukalango Television, expansion of church infrastructure, and development of facilities such as St. Mary’s Convent, St. Michael Convent, and a bookshop for the Brides of the Lamb Sisters.
