Leaders of the Peoples Front for Freedom (PFF) in West Nile have unveiled plans to hold a mini-fundraising program targeting UGX 2 million to facilitate party activities in the region ahead of the 2026 general elections.
According to the plan, UGX 1.5 million will be spent on securing office spaces in different districts, while UGX 1 million will go towards organizing the regional convention for West Nile.
The party also intends to establish offices, conduct swearing-in ceremonies, and train members across the ten districts of West Nile and three in Madi sub-region.
PFF Regional Governor, Adomati Ronald, said the fundraising will cover all the districts under West Nile and Madi governorship.
The regional convention, earlier scheduled for this month, was postponed after national leaders expected to preside over the event failed to attend due to other commitments. The convention was meant to launch the PFF’s regional office in Arua, open district offices, and unveil flagbearers and members in the party structure ahead of 2026. PFF Nebbi Chairperson, Jalum Henry, urged members to remain united to achieve the party’s targets.
In Arua City, party member Orodriyo Anim expressed confidence that the PFF will be strongly represented in the 2026 elections, noting growing interest among residents to join and contest under the party’s banner. “PFF is not a new political party, its leaders have been here for long. Our target is to fight corruption and strive for good leadership,” she said.
Meanwhile, several positions in the party’s leadership structure remain vacant. Under the federal state committee, key offices such as Deputy Governor, Speaker, and Secretaries in various sectors are yet to be filled, while all positions in the Federal State Assembly also remain vacant as consultations continue.
