Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament Jacob Marksons Oboth today received the Ambassador of South Sudan to Uganda, H.E. Paul Malong Akaro, at Parliament for discussions on strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two Parliaments.
During the engagement, Ambassador Akaro underscored the importance of closer collaboration between the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda and the Parliament of the Republic of South Sudan.
In his response, the Rt. Hon. Speaker reaffirmed the readiness of the Parliament of Uganda to extend support to its South Sudanese counterpart through institutional partnerships, capacity building, training initiatives, and parliamentary exchange programmes.
