All along, Kyengera based tycoon Charles Gala has been pouring money in NUP hoping Kavule would give him flag to replace Medard Segona in 2026.

His hopes have now been dashed with Kyagulanyi coming to the conclusion Gala is too weak to manage a senior politician like Segona. Kyagulanyi is uncomfortable with Segona because he refused to join Kavule in fighting Mathias Mpuuga. Kyagulanyi badly wants him out and has been shopping for a replacement who can be loyal to Kavule without questioning Magere’s decisions.

Lawyer Keneth Paul Kakande refused to run against Segona saying he is an old friend who he can’t betray. Kyagulanyi became stuck and refused to embrace Charles Gala who came from DP.

Through Dan Magic, Kyagulanyi has now decided to front Bulooba-based businessman and gold dealer Emmanuel Magoola Matovu. This land dealer used to be in FDC and was a good ally of Kizza Besigye through Ibrahim Kasozi.

He was also the FDC chairman for Wakiso and was always close to Sewava Serubiri who works at Mengo. Matovu has been standing against Segona several times on the FDC ticket and almost took him down in 2016. Magoola was on Besigye’s FDC which sold like a hotcake in elections of that year. Segona was on Amama Mbabazi. Segona has been area MP since 2011 and many voters are tired of him. They call him Yoweri Museveni of Busiro East.

With Kyagulanyi’s backing, Magoola, who is a migrant from Busoga, is sure of winning and finally becoming MP for Busiro east. This will help him get a diplomatic passport which can help him to travel the world to promote his gold business and deals.

He is a flashy man who also likes women. Ĥe is generous which enables him to attract baɓes likè a magnet.

In FDC he had two very beautiful babes-Susan Nakawuki and Pauline Grace Nakabuye. He sponsored Nakawuki to become MP Ɓusiro east in 2006 and Pauline Grace to run his money lending business. He was lending to MPs mainly those days. Time came and Grace wanted to join parliament. Magoola used his influence in FDC Wakiso branch and gave her the party flag for Kyadondo north now Nansana municipality in 2008 in the by-election after the death of prof Israel Kibirige Sebunya. Grace didn’t win and her candidature brought wars between FDC and DPs who fronted Regina Bakite Nakazzi who now is Nansana mayor for NUP.

Magoola deployed Ibrahim Kasozi to head the special taskforce which campaigned for his 2nd wife Pauline Grace, which annoyed Susan Nakawuki. Magoola wanted to have two wives in that parliament-Nakawuki and Grace-but his plan flopped when Robert Kasule Sebunya of NRM defeated his wife Grace and replaced his dad.

When she learnt that Magoola had put a lot of money in Grace’s campaign, she stormed Najjanankumbi during a press conference on Monday and punched Grace.

It was Joyce Ssebugwawo who calmed down Grace by telling that women go through a lot in this life. This war of the babes embarrassed Magoola who ended up dumping Nakawuki.

They fell out badly and Magoola reacted by threatening to stand against Nakawuki in Busiro east in 2011 but he didn’t because he was broke yet voters were used to him having a lot of money. Nakawuki got scared of Magoola and relocated to Masaka municipality, her birth place, where she was defeated by Mathias Mpuuga of Ssuubi in 2011.

Nakawuki became politically frustrated and joined NRM. It was in NRM that she found minister Alintuma Nsambu who married her.

In simple that is the Magoola from Busoga, the man Kyagulanyi is considering fronting against Kabaka’s man Medard Segona. In Buloba he lives like a Hollywood celebrity surrounded by luxurious swimming pools, German shepherds and expensive cars.

He has an insatiable thirst for babes, which isn’t a problem for the area NUP foot soldiers like singer Mathias Walukagga, who will be ordered to make sure he defeats Segona. He is also generous once he has the money and might end up printing posters and funding all NUP candidates in Wakiso. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
