NUP MPs Are Enough for Kyagulanyi To Remove Museveni! Doesn’t Need Mugumya Sam, Semujju, Lukwago, Besigye, Mpuuga & Medard Segona! Bobi Wine Spokesman Announces in Fiery Sunday Night Tik Tok Rant

A veteran diaspora NUP activist trading online as Kojja Omugezi, who is also a leading Kyagulanyi spokesperson in the diaspora, has renewed the 10-year old people power claims that whoever doesn’t bow to Kyagulanyi in the opposition, is a project in drama or katemba to prolong Museveni’s rule.

Kojja Omugezi, whose divisive rhetoric has created a lot of divisions in the opposition for the last 10 years Kyagulanyi has been leading opposition and caused many decent NUP leaders to become disillusioned, said on Sunday during a tik tok live show that there is no way anyone can be genuine in their opposition to Museveni when they are not under NUP.

He made it clear that only people inside NUP are genuine opponents to Museveni and that the rest, including Erias Lukwago, Kizza Besigye, Semujju Nganda, Sam Mugumya, Medard Segona and others are proxies for Museveni.

He went on to announce that Kyagulanyi will never work with such people on anything because they are Museveni’s agents who can only stagnate the struggle against Museveni. He said Kyagulanyi’s is the only version of opposition which can remove Museveni because the others are just diversions who are not genuine at all.

But he was hostile to those who asked him for the NUP road map on when Museveni is going to be removed since that is what NUP promised 10 years ago when Kyagulanyi’s political started. Some of the tik tok live participants reminded Kojja Omugezi that there is need to concentrate on removing Museveni as they promised since theirs is the genuine opposition.

They put it to him that the problem is not Mpuuga, Besigye, Segona, Lukwago, Semujju Nganda, Mugumya Sam and others. But Kojja Omugezi, who has never been anywhere in Museveni’s prisons, said that all these leaders are the problems for the Kyagulanyi-led struggle and not Museveni.

He was debating with David Musiri, a former NUP NEC member who is now under DF. Musiri had told him that the struggle needs everybody because NUP alone won’t manage to remove Museveni. Some participants made it clear that Kyagulanyi’s 10 years of opposition leadership have been so weak to the extent that they can’t even force Museveni to reopen Facebook, unlike Besigye who in his first five years squeezed many concessions from Museveni, including the scrapping of graduated tax. Musiri proposed for a coalition of all change-desiring Ugandans regardless of party affiliation.

This annoyed Kojja Omugezi who responded by being abusive to Musiri and the moderator Sseremba Jimmy whose mwoyo gwa gwanga tik tok account hosted the debate. Musiri had called for humility and had also said time had come for people to look beyond parties and come together to liberate the country.

Musiri had also said it was time to refrain from unfounded accusations of calling others projects of Museveni while claiming that NUP is the only one which is genuine. A people power founder, Musiri said there is a lot he knows about the hypocrisy of NUP top leaders but didn’t want to go into that because it can only cause more division and derail the struggle.

He said if it had been Mpuuga photographed welcoming Museveni at Parliament like Senyonyi did recently, the NUP foot soldiers would be castrating him. Musiri called this, double standards and demanded for humility and honesty in the struggle.

People writing in the comments section put it to Kojja Omugezi that Kyagulanyi was now stranded and struck because he doesn’t have any way forward anymore. They reminded him of the duty on NUP to remove Museveni and now since they claim to be strong and the only genuine opposition to him. They also asked him to confirm if it was still the NUP diaspora view that whoever doesn’t bow to Kyagulanyi in opposition is a Museveni project.

They asked him to state clearly if being in ICU for Besigye, in a bad tortured state for Mugumya Sam, dying in prison for Lukwago’s case and hiding in exile for Semujju’s case wasn’t proof enough that these are genuine opposition leaders paying the price.

He responded by saying this is still katemba which is meant to create media publicity for them while making Ugandans forget about Kyagulanyi as their only genuine liberator. Kojja Omugezi made it clear that anyone else in opposition who gets media publicity is a diversion created by Museveni to undermine the NUP leader!

Musiri told him its clear the NUP leadership doesn’t have any option now to take the struggle forward because all they know is waiting for the next elections to get a few MPs so that the principal and his first lady can use them to access money and live a good life. Musiri said where things are today, there is need for careful planning for the struggle to move to the next level.

He said people who are in parliament can’t be relied on to deliver any liberation for the people because they are now in the comfort zone and they don’t have motivation to struggle against Museveni who is giving them a salary and buying them new cars.

He challenged Kojja Omugezi to explain how the 47 NUP MPs are helping in advancing the struggle for change in Uganda and instead, the Kyagulanyi spokesman just went on rampage and abused everyone who didn’t agree with him.

He belittled the more than 30,000 Ugandans who were following live and called them desperate. He said this was a small platform headed by Sseremba who he called a political failure. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com.
