Journey to 2031 victory starts now, says Sseninde

By KT Reporter
President Museveni has continued to chase away the NBS news crew members from his campaign trail. Museveni is unhappy with NBS TV because it dedicates a lot of time on politics and it also hosts more opposition propagandists than people from NRM.
Museveni is also unhappy that NBS dedicates a lot of time on politics than on economic development news. Because of that and other reasons he thinks they are not his allies in the journey of Uganda’s economic transformation.
NBS boss Karisa says the problem isn’t them but NRM officials who refuse to show up when invited to come and counter opposition propaganda. He says they can’t get NRM defenders to come to be on the shows apart from Rogers Mulindwa, Ofwono Opondo, Emmanuel Ddombo and Chris Baryomunsi.
But government officials say the reason the ruling party representatives stay away and fear to appear on NBS and other TV stations is the fear to be asked for money by the moderators and producers who coordinate their appearance.
At the end of the day, the relationship between Museveni and NBS is at its lowest and there are no signs that things are about to get better. The president is determined to campaign and win re-election without having NBS on his media team.
His handlers have been assured to make sure that no NBS reporter or camera gets access to the president’s rallies. The management of NBS has tried its best to get pardon and make peace with Museveni but all has ended in vain.
It has also been reported that Museveni also doesn’t want NBS to get any money under his campaign publicity budget. Ugx30bn has been put aside to promote the NRM candidate on the media platforms but. NBS won’t be on that list, along with monitor newspaper.

Monitor has also been chased from the campaign trail of Mzee and will also not be getting anything on the publicity budget. This is so because Mzee thinks that these two hate him and treat him as their co-wife. He is happy with vision group and UBC which he thinks are enough to report his reelection campaign story.Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
