Nation Media Group Uganda (NMG-U) has announced that its physical offices in Kampala have been rendered inaccessible following an overnight raid by the military.
In a statement issued Sunday evening through its social media channels, NMG-U said its premises located at Plots 29/35, 8th Street, Industrial Area, Namuwongo, Kampala, and the Kampala Serena International Conference Centre were raided at about 1:00 am on Sunday.
The media company said the operation resulted in the disconnection of electricity and disruption of normal operations across its radio, television, and newspaper platforms. NMG-U said that although its offices remain closed, it will continue engaging its audiences through its digital platforms.
