Namboze travels to Masaka to De-campaign Mathias Mpuuga

The Mukono MP Betty Namboze has taken politics of treachery to a whole new level by travelling to Masaka to directly de-campaign Mathias Mpuuga in favour of outgoing Makerere university bursar Sebiina Gyavira Lubowa.

Sources close to her say that Namboze has been sent by Kyagulanyi to go and fight the DF president in his home town, as he prepares to campaign in Masaka himself for president in the near future.

Nambooze will join others like Lutamaguzi Semakula of Nakaseke to properly de-campaign Mpuuga at the anti-DF rally which the Masaka city mayor Florence Namayanja and Sebiina have organized this Wednesday 12th November at Nyendo taxi park.

While at the rally, Namboze will de-campaign Mpuuga and other DF candidates in Masaka city-including woman MP Juliet Kakande, Abed Bwanika and Mulindwa Nakumusana who is Mpuuga’s candidate against mayor Florence Namayanja.

The Mpuuga group is determined to win each and every seat in Masaka which they consider to be their God-given stronghold since this is where majority DF founders come from.

The Mpuuga group on Monday held big rallies in Masaka’s Kimanya Kabonera, where Moses Kasibante totally destroyed the NUP camp led by Florence Namayanja.

Kasibante who is the DF spox said that the NUP flag bearers have no brain to solve Masaka city’s problems, which is why they are only flashing the umbrella symbol as the only reason why they should be elected.

Kasibante likened NUP’s Kutesa who is standing against Abed Bwanika, as a mere empty jerrycan, which should be ignored.

The organizers of the Wednesday Nyendo rally hope to use Namboze and the very abusive Lutamaguzi to undo the damage Moses Kasibante caused at the DF rally.

Failure to work closely with city councilor Alice Nannungi, the more popular foot soldier who missed the NUP flag even when she had started earlier, the Namayanja/Sebiina group has been finding it hard to get Nyendo Mukungwe voters to buy Sebiina.

Majority voters wanted Nannungi who Namayanja destroyed at Kavule in favour of her errands boy Lubowa Sebiina.

There are indicators that the ground is so far rejecting Sebiina, something which has made Kyagulanyi to have sleepless nights over the posibility of a Mpuuga victory, which Kavule dreads.

Even when there has been pressure from his supporters asking Mpuuga to guide them on who to vote for president, the DF president has refused to openly endorse Kyagulanyi.

Instead, he has kept telling them to vote anyone from the opposition for president as long as that candidate is not Museveni of the ruling national resistance movement. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
