On Thursday Susan Kushaba, a Tik Talk-based content creator and whistle blower, was harvested like a grasshopper and arraigned before the Buganda Road Court magistrate who remanded her to Luzira.
She was charged with using Tik Talk platforms to demonize and spoil the names of Kampala ministers Kyofa Togabye Kabuye and Minsa Kabanda.
The magistrate and prosecutors from the DPP showed rare courage in doing this because Kushaba’s arraignment happened after a group of PLU managers led by Frank Mwesigye had taken to X promising to use their closeness to the Chief of Defense Forces general Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also the PLU leader, to save Kushaba.
They had declared her a hero in the war against corruption and dirty deals in Kampala and vowed to protect her against going to Luzira.
Kushaba is not an ordinary cadre because she is personally well known to both general Muhoozi and president Museveni.
She is also a PLU founder member and a very good friend of chairman Micheal Toyota, who deputizes MK inside PLU.
Kushaba’s being remanded in Luzira by the magistrate for so many days on Thursday caused many PLU diehards to become scared and to realize that in today’s Uganda, no one is safe, no matter how close you are to the people in the corridors of power-Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
