“Dean Lubowa Sava will end badly exactly like Red Pepper & Teddy Seezi Cheeye.” Ndawula’s Investigator TV panel predicts
Investigator online TV owner Stanley Ndawula has broken his silence on the arrest of Dean Lubowa Saava Sebiranda. Ndawula says that there is nothing wrong with UCC demanding that all online broadcadters get licensed so that their business becomes legal.
He says that having learnt from Saava’s mistake, he has ordered his assistants at the office to quickly get the license for his investigator online TV.
Ndawula a much respected broadcaster, says that Saava went too far when he turned to abusing everyone who gave him advice. He says that Saava abused him and his workmates at the investigator team when he branded them fake armchair investigators.
He says that Saava showed his cold heartedness when he rang the investigator tv journalist Daniel Tatya Nabongo and abused him for on phone even after telling him that he was in hospital fighting for his life. Ndawula says that was very bad of Saava. Tatya died days later and was buried in his village on the weekend.
He says that the same Saava opened a war on him because his investigator tv hosted lawyer Gideon Tugume, who cruticized Saava for being a bad unserious journalist.
Ndawula says that some of his friends in Kampala recorded Saava when he is talking bad things about him, yet all along he took him to be his friend.
He said that he can’t waste time competing with Saava because journalists are talented differently. Investigator tv will never be Tv10 and vice versa. He added that Saava went too far when he rang another investigator journalist called Profeza Kasozi and abused him upto midnight because he had hosted NUP lawyer Tugume who criticized his character of abusing people.
Ndawula says that there was nothing wrong with UCC ordering Saava to reconcile with the people he has been abusing and to also delete the contested videos. He says that there is a difference between journalism and abusing people.
He says that UCC is right to come in and stop Saava because his conduct makes even big people like general Nalweyiso and Salim Saleh ashamed of being associated with such a person. Ndawula is also the spokesman for Kooki kingdom of Kamuswaga.
He says that he one time tried to ring Saava to advise him to stop abusing UCC officials but he just barked at him.
He had been told that Saava was about to be arrested and he wanted to advise him to solve his problems peacefully but he just barked at him before listening to what he had to say.
He adds that no one is above the law and that no big person wants to deal with a journalist who records every conversation and who can’t keep secrets. Saava is ever recording people and puts such secretive recordings in his videos.
Stanley says that he also has big people who are his friends in the country but he can’t go to say these are my buddies while on air. He says that such big people love their privacy and hate journalists who go bragging about it.
Ndawula says that there are many powerful journalists in Kampala and gives himself as an example, but they don’t behave like Saava. He also says that Saava should face his problems as a person because its his mouth which abused people and put him into problems.
He says that its wrong for Saava’s problems to be presented as if it means that UCC and the government as a whole, has opened war on journalism.
He says that perfect journalism is about covering and analysizing issues as opposed to making personal attacks like Saava.
He says that he too has made mistakes but reconciles with those he wrongs unlike Saava who responds by attacking judges, UCC officials for doing their work and fellow journalists who report about his problems.
He says that he decided to keep quiet and not attack Saava back because he doesn’t like stress. Ndawula also says that Saava shouldn’t listen to lawyers very much because they are just money makers.
He advises that Saava should not count on lawyers like Male Mabirizi who just want to get publicity on his problems. He says that it was wrong for Saava to call and blast Tatya when he was in hospital fighting for his life.
In the end, Tatya died at Mulago hospital and was buried in Namutumba on the weekend. Ndawula says that an attack on Tatya, Tugume and Kasozi by Saava was an attack on the investigator TV which they work for. He says that time has come for Saava to grow up and stop abusing people instead of blaming his problems on others.
He says that he doesn’t want a war with Saava because they have known each other and been friends for 20 years. He says that such wars weaken journalism and not making it strong.
He adds that he is willing to forgive Saava even after talking many bad things about him, for as long as Saava gives him a chance to visit him in Luzira.
Tugume and Kasozi were also on the same panel and they predicted that Saava may remain in prison up to February after elections because there is no way he can win that case of illegal broadcasting. Tugume who is a lawyer says that there is no defense Saava can have on that case.
He also faces many other defamation cases in the high court which are more than 100 and they were filed by big people who will be demanding for a lot of money from Saava to clear their names.
Tugume says that Saava abused him a lot when he called him a poor sick old man who should concentrate on swallowing his tablets.
Ndawula Stanley says that he saw media power at its highest when he was in red pepper and that he saw how those things of being close to general Salim Saleh couldn’t save his bosses of Namanve.
He added that when his red pepper bosses were kept at Nalufenya and Luzira for many months, people started to realize that the newspaper was not very strong as they thought.
They started to realize that they can fight red pepper and take it to court without Salim Saleh and state house doing anything to protect its owners.
He says the same is going to happen to Saava because his arrest makes people to realize that they can go after him and there is nothing Salim Saleh and Nalweyiso do to protect him.
Ndawula thinks that many more cases are going to be opened up on Saava in the high court now that people have realized that he is not a close friend of Salim Saleh and Nalweyiso the way he keeps saying.
As a senior journalist, Ndawula is now advising young journalists, youtube and tik tok account owners to begin respecting UCC by doing everything government asks them to do to avoid getting into problems.
He adds that no serious journalist should be declaring war on UCC, media center and the ministry of information because those are their bosses who can do anything to bring them to book.
Ndawula is also fearing that Saava’s enemies and people whose names he has been destroying are now going to come together and strategize on how to fully destroy him.
Tugume says that things are going to be so hot for Saava, he will have to close down TV10 and also leave Uganda and escape to exile like Semakadde. He also says that some sturbon men are going to approach Saava’s wife and by the time his problems are over, they will have impregnanted her.
