Youtuber Dean Lubowa Saava on Saturday fled his own TV10 mazima premises in Mengo when a joint team of enforcement officers from police and UCC raided his headquarters in Mengo.

His workers helplessly looked on as Saava took off at rocket speed and as the enforcement team members dismantled his broadcasting equipment and went away with it.

Sources close to the investigations say that Saava is going to be arraigned in court and charged with illegal broadcasting of news content and other current affairs shows without the license of UCC which is the regulator. He faces a jail term of not less than 5 years upon conviction.

He had been warned to put his house in order since 2023 and all he did was to ignore UCC saying the commission is full of useless fools who can’t do anything to him since he is a man of state house.

UCC’s decision to take action has been welcomed by many people who have been victims of Saava’s cyber harrassment yet the court cases they have been filing in the high court are moving too slowly because of the case backlog problem.

Saava had been given five days to regularize his broadcasting business and to also apologize to those he had been attacking and also delete all the offensive content.

He refused all this and launched a new war promising to kill UCC boss Nyombi Thembo who signed on the ruling. He said he had bought pangas and buckets of acid to use to kill the UCC boss.

He also attacked the Observer newspaper for reporting about the UCC ruling against him.

Saava said he has connections of Museveni, Salim Saleh and other big men, which he said makes him to be above the law and no one can touch him. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
