Minister Milly Babalanda had famously assured everyone how Museveni would be president and feature on the ballot paper in 2031.
This was in a video which trended online after David Kabanda, MK’s PA, had assured the country that Museveni and MK had agreed that the president leaves the chair for the CDF in 2031.
Gen MK put out a tweet on Friday vowing to punish Milly Babalanda for creating confusion in the minds of Ugandan voters ahead of 2031.
The CDF demanded that Babalanda apologizes or prepares to lose her juicy position of minister for presidency, which has made her very powerful since the year 2021.
Babalanda must have realized that things were going to be very tough for her and quickly reached out to mend fences with Gen MK.
Babalanda used the same platform, X, to show her willingness to amend her earlier statements.
She posted and attached MK’s earlier ultimatum and made it clear with “Afande Tuko Pamoja” which means “we are together sir.”
Gen MK quickly took note of her remorsefulness and thanked Babalanda but he also demanded that she immediately goes to PLU offices at Nakasero and sign on the endorsement form as proof that she is with him in his journey to become Uganda’s next president.
This shows how powerful Gen MK has become to the extent that majority Ugandans these days fear him more than they fear his dad YK Museveni.
Yet its not only Babalanda who has been bowed. Even lawyer Ivan Mwijukye, who had been attacking MK’s people on twitter like David Kabanda while defending Odrek Rwabwogo and his PACEID, is now on the run after one of his tweets provoked the Rwandan government spokesman to criticize what the CDF had posted about the Hutu community.
Mwijukye has been tweeting his apologies begging the CDF to forgive him. He says ge was misled and he will never do it again-Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
