93 Female Suspects Escape from City Hall Court Holding Facility

By KT Reporter
In her hey days as a blue eyed girl for the president, UPC first lady Betty Amongi tormented many people and made them cry bloody tears.
Those she destroyed or attempted to destroy included (but not limited to) the following people, who naturally must be very happy about her political demise, which was surgically administered ny medical doctor Jane Ruth Aceng, who badly defeated her for Lira city woman MP race.
Rebecca Kadaga is one of those who must be very excited. Amongi, with whom they had had a very good working relationship as she headed UWOPA which unites all female MPs, has reason to say ‘thank you lord because the mighty of Lango has fallen never to rise again.’
This is so because in early 2021, Amongi suddenly turn into foes with her and worked to ensure that Jacob Oulanyah won and became speaker of parliament, ending Kadaga’s reign.
In order to appease Museveni, Amongi fought Kadaga her ally of decades very openly and asked others to begin growing the balls and do the same. In the end, Oulanyah won and Kadaga had to lose her coveted position of speaker.
Richard Byarugaba, the former NSSF MD, must be happy to see Amongi having her Beatrice Wabudeya moment and no one can or should blame him for being excited because of the way the gender minister and NSSF supervisor herded him out of his juicy job and gave it to her blue-eyed boy Patrick Ayota. Sam Lyomoki too was negatively impacted as NSSF board member, in service of the Amongi interests.
Thomas Tayebwa is one person who has reason to feel relieved by Betty Amongi’s political demise. In 2023, she appeared before a parliament committee which was investigating NSSF and told the MPs that the deputy speaker was among those puting her under pressure to re-appoint Byarugaba as Fund MD. She said she had recordings to that effect; saying she was ready to play it before fellow MPs and infront of media cameras.
During that same meeting with MPs, Amongi said the same of Moses Byaruhanga, who she claimed was one of the big people at the meetings where she was harrassed and directed to re-instate Byarugaba. Dr. Peter Kimbowa was the NSSF MD who was purged to pave way for Amongi’s favoured person.
