The former coach for Onduparaka, Arua Hill FC, Mungufeni Fundtion and now the Police FC Coach Fabio Borini is fighting for his life after been involved in a nasty accident along Pakwach-Nebbi road in Omvoru.

Fabio Ahmaed Borini was travelling in a Toyota Hiace commonly called Drone Reg. Number UBR 306Q whose driver lost control and veered off the road along the stretch of Nyaravur in Mbara East Ward, Nyaravur-Angal junction.

According to a report from the police on Saturday 15th November 2025 at about 0430 hours at Omvuro cell in Mbaro East ward, Nyaravur – Angal junction, along Pakwach Nebbi highway in Nebbi district, a motor vehicle with Registration Number UBR 306Q Toyota Hiace silver in colour driven by one Manu Mansul aged 34 years, Lugbara by tribe, resident of Nsambya cell in Arua city, got involved in a serious accident.

Josephine Angucia the Police Spokesperson for West Nile confrmed the accident and identified some of the victims as Manu Mansul a male adult 34 years old as the driver, Sanawa Nickson and Ahamed Borini all residents of Nsambya and Ezoova cells in Arua City.

It is alleged that the said motor vehicle was from Pakwach side heading to Arua direction along Pakwach Nebbi highway, but on reaching Omvura cell, the driver was suspected to be “over speeding” and failed to negotiate a slightly curved corner, lost control of the motor vehicle and went off the road to the left hand side of the road.

The vehicle overturned several times hence injuring the occupants, who were rushed to Angal hospital, and later transferred to Arua Regional Referral Hospital for more medical attention.

“When the information reached police, they visited, documented and made a sketch map of the scene,” goes on the report. “The motor vehicle was towed and parked at Nebbi police station yard pending I.O.V inspection.”

Preliminary investigations indicate the cause of “accident” to be recklessness coupled with over speeding, Anguci said.

“We urge drivers to observe road safety regulations all the time and control the speed of the vehicles to avoid accidents on the road,” Angucia concluded.
