Yusuf Nsibambi the deputy president for FDC is living under fear and has been avoiding media interviews because he knows the discomforting questions reporters will be asking.
On CBS where he pays 250k per week to be hosted every Saturday, he has been missing in action because he knows the moderator will be asking him to tell the listeners who he supports for president.
He is aware the moment he answers that question, he will be in big problems. Saying its Kyagulanyi will cause him to be disciplined by Nandala’s kiboko squad members.
It will also cause him not to be given the 300m which Nandala is giving to every incumbent MP who seeks reelection on FDC ticket.
Nandala can also fire him from being FDC whip and also from being deputy president. Yet saying he is supporting Nandala on CBS will also cause him big problems with Kyagulanyi’s supporters in Mawokota.
This is the reason why Nsibambi who is choking on debts also and its in billions, has decided to go underground.
He can even feign sickness to avoid the confrontation that has to result from declaring who his candidate for president is.
He is a corward who can’t campaign for Nandala or put his campaign posters on his car and drive around. He fears Kyagulanyi’s foot soldiers will fight him directly.
He knows that the day he does that, the foot soldiers in Mawokota will punish him thoroughly. So, his plan is to remain vague pretending to be supporting both Kyagulanyi and Nandala at the same time.
But inside FDC, his bosses are angry and they want Nsibambi to have Nandala’s posters on his car and he must also appear in the constituency and on CBS and openly campaign for Nandala while explaining the FDC party manifesto.
“He is a deputy president for the region of Buganda and now is the time for him to give clear leadership to the teams campaigning for Nandala in the central region.” says an FDC insider close to Nandala Mafabi.
In Mawokota, Susan Nakawuki of NRM has put in a lot of effort and too much money after selling one of her houses recently to boost her campaign budget. All this is giving counsel Nsibambi sleepless nights. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
