At least 600 members of the NRM party have failed to vote in Nakawa West following the change of a polling station.

The voters who were supposed to have cast their votes at Kalinabiri Primary School were disenfranchised after a polling station was inconvenienced by classes.

The voters who turned up in big numbers were turned away and told to go to the Kalinabiri Two polling station in Kigoowa in Ntinda. However, out of the 687 registered voters, only seven turned up.

The candidates in the race are Herbert Anderson Burora, former Rubaga Division Resident City Commissioner, and Ivan Kabeedha, Former EALA Speaker Margaret Nantongo Zziwa, Mukesh Shukla, and Herbert Ssenyonjo have scored zero.

Muhammad Lubega, the NRM Polling Officer, says that voters had turned up in big numbers at Kalinabiri Primary School, but the change of the venue disrupted them.

The seven results from this polling station were recorded and taken to the Uganda Institute of Communication Technology, the tally centre for Nakawa Division.
