BUL FC maintained their second leg unbeaten run at home after defeating Maroons FC 1-0.

The game played on Wednesday at the Njeru-based FUFA technical centre was characterised by high energy levels from both sides, with each one of them striving for three points.

BUL however, stepped a notch higher with their lone goal of the game from Karim Ndugwa in the 25th minute of the game.

BUL’s assistant coach, Simon Masaba, says that they have played high-demand games between Vipers and NEC FC in an average space of five days, which was costly to the players, but they still came through with a win against Maroons.

Masaba says that, the boys have been trained with the art of containing pressure, which enabled them to excel above their opponents despite of the high intensity registered in the course of play.

Masaba says that this game has enabled them to earn better points on the Uganda Premier League table standings and a dedication of hope for their tireless work invested in the club.

Masaba also notes that the win has been key in preparing them for their last season’s game against UPDF FC.

Meanwhile, Maroons’ head coach, Muhhamed Ssenfuma, says that the boys played their best, but their hosts were lucky enough to win. “Much as we lost, I am pleased that the boys played good football, which overly entertained our fans all through the 90 minutes,” he says.

Ssenfuma also notes that, they missed a number of goal scoring opportunities, whereas, their opponents materialized on the available chances at their disposal to score-URN. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
