The 12.8kms is part of the 21.2km road which stretches from Okuru trading center via Omiji to Angicekide, Angem up to Odeye. Work will include installation of a total of 34 culvert lines in swampy area, and fully gravel the section which is being worked on.

He added that the remaining section of the road will be worked on at a later time.
David Kennedy Odongo, the Alebtong District Chairperson believes that the road, upon completion will solve the connectivity challenge which had hindered development in Adwir Sub County.
“This road once finished will help connect us to Otuke District, Okum Seed School is on the other side and so is Otuke market. So I think from our side as the district leaders, our focus should be here.”
Denis Hamson Obua, the Ajuri County Member of Parliament urged the locals to prioritize livelihood enterprises for economic transformation saying the infrastructural development without personal initiatives will lead to poverty.
“Government wants to empower you through all the programs talk of the PDM, UWEP, Special grants for Person with disability and other but once you receive the money, what are you using it for?” he wondered.
Geoffrey Okiswa, the Resident District Commissioner believes that the road will facilitate transportation of produce to better market and this will lead to socio-economic transformation.
