During the Saturday debate on capital radio in Kampala, Shema municipality MP Dickson Kateshumbwa was asked to clarify on the recent social media exchange between him and PLU secretary general Daudi Kabanda.
It started with Kabanda declaring that Kateshumbwa, who resembles pastor Kakande as if he is his son, was headed for big trouble because had been a key actor in Anita Among circles, besides being among those who used to belittle PLU by branding it pilau, which means fried rice.
Kateshumbwa denied ever being a hater of PLU and referred to Kabanda as ‘a comrade’ who he called upon not to create enmities and setting him up for trouble with the MK army on social medio.
This was a day after Justin Namere, a key Among supporter, had been pick up crying like a puppy as soldiers in a drone gave her ‘her food.’ The timing was terrible no one wanted to be depicted as being hostile to PLU.
Kabanda responded by shutting up Kateshumbwa who he advised to stop calling him ‘my colleague’ because he had never been one. A subdued Kateshumbwa was asked to explain what was happening on Saturday at capital radio and his tongue froze with him telling the moderator he wasn’t prepared for such.
In fact, Kateshumbwa donated his time in favor of other fellow panelists because he didn’t want problems that come with criticizing David Kabanda who Gen Muhoozi has lately openly been defending very much.
During the same radio show Kateshumbwa protested when the moderator insisted to portray him as someone who was in some good trouble having been a good friend of Among.
A cowardly Kateshumbwa said this wasn’t true and that what existed was just a working relationship the way any MPs will work hard to have a good working relationship with new speaker Oboth-Oboth.
He requested the moderator to let him be because he was already having more than enough problems by enemies in the constituency and some importers who have never forgiven him for being hard on them during his days as chief of customs at Uganda revenue authority. He said all these have come together to tie him to Among’s problems. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com.
