Latest online reporting shows that Museveni told a meeting where Rebecca Kadaga and two bishops attended to discuss Anita Among’s corruption, that he had intelligence reports showing how majority Ugandans, including soldiers and policemen were growing angry to see Anita Among enjoying life of luxury when they can’t even get what to eat.
Museveni according to chimpreports told Anita Among that ‘our bishops are here please tell them were you get all this money.’ Anita Among started crying and said your ‘excellence I get the money as donations from my rich friends.’ Museveni asked which friends and how come they weren’t giving you such money before you became a speaker? Why were they not your friends before joining the movement side?
Among denied being corrupt and said examples of the rich friends from whom she keeps getting all that money including tycoons like Hamis Kiggundu and Kirumira. Museveni threatened to call Kiggundu and ask him there and then but Anita Among changed her statement and cried out like a puppy saying ‘sir please don’t call him I’m going to tell the truth from today onwards.’
People at the meeting doubted any of the said tycoons can have such money and give it out freely like that. She was also asked how come the said tycoons only give such big money to her and not to other government officials. She was also tasked to explain what tycoons like Ham Kigundu would be expecting from her in return and Among was just there sobbing.
