You Were a Nobody! Ssemujju Nganda Reminds Muwanga Kivumbi

Semujju Nganda says that Muwanga Kivumbi shouldn’t become excited for being the NUP deputy president and forget how vulnerable he was a few years ago. Nganda says that Muwanga Kivumbi was a nobody as of 2012 and he, Mathias Mpuuga and other old friends had to combine efforts to uplift him from total obscurity.

Nganda says that Muwanga Kivumbi shouldn’t rely on Kyagulanyi to think he is too powerful and begin to mistreat fellow opposition veterans like Mathias Mpuuga. Muwanga a few days ago spoke at NUP and declared war on Mpuuga. He read out a list of senior MPs in NUP who are going to be removed in 2026 because they aren’t clear about the struggle anymore.

Nganda says it can’t be Muwanga to turn guns on Mpuuga like that simply because he is afraid of Kyagulanyi and wants to please NUP foot soldiers.

Nganda says that there was a time when all of them in Ssuubi were nobody and had to rely on each other to start politics. He says it’s wrong for Muwanga to think that Museveni has become so weak that NUP alone can manage him.

He says Muwanga will soon face the combined violence of Museveni and his son MK and will begin to realise that NUP alone can’t manage.

Nganda says Muwanga should be using his position as chairman Buganda caucus to bring all fellow senior leaders togegher as opposed to scattering them. Nganda says that the amount of violence that is being planned by the NRM side will require a united opposition to respond.

He says that what happened in Kawempe was just a signal of what is coming in 2026 and doubts that Muwanga will be able to single-handedly stand up to all that after chasing away fellow seniors from NUP. Give us feedback on this story through our email: kamwokyatimes@gmail.com
