The Uganda Management Institute (UMI) marked its 22nd graduation ceremony today with a grand celebration that saw over 3,000 graduates take a major step toward their future careers.

The event was filled with moments of pride and anticipation as prominent figures, including government officials, academicians, and the graduates themselves, gathered to witness the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

Dr. James Nkanta, the Director General of UMI, delivered a stirring address, urging the graduates to view their education as a gateway to contribute meaningfully to Uganda’s development.

“Your education is not just for personal growth, but also for the advancement of this nation,” he said, challenging them to apply their skills to address the country’s most pressing challenges in governance, economic resilience, and sustainable development.

Mr. Mukwatampola, representing the Ministry of Education and Hon. Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo, the State Minister for Higher Education, also conveyed heartfelt congratulations.

Delivering greetings from the First Lady, Mr. Mukwatampola commended UMI’s role in producing skilled professionals and reminded the graduates of their responsibility to use their education for the greater good of the nation. “You now hold the tools to become agents of positive change,” he said.
