We Are Being Suffocated! COSASE Chairman Talks Too Much & Never Allows Us Chance to Say something also-NUP MPs REPORT TO KAVULE ACCUSING MUWADDA NKUNYINGI

Some of the NUP party MPs attached to the COSASE committee are sad and blue. They say that much as the committee always attracts a lot of media coverage, they haven’t been able to benefit from the same so far. Reason? It’s because their party comrade the Kyadondo MP Nkunyingi Muwadda, who chairs the committee, talks a lot and doesn’t allow them enough chance to also ask.

They have complained to some top officials of the party at Kavule claiming that Muwadda over talks a lone and most of the questions are asked by him, which makes many of them look irrelevant and as if they are fools who aren’t supposed to say something in the committee.

The disappointed NUP MPs have referred to what happened to their colleague Joseph Sewungu last Thursday as the NDA bosses appeared before COSASE before their counterparts from NMS appeared. Sewungu who is a COSASE member from NUP raised his hand for a long time and Muwadda the chairman didn’t pick him.

In the end, Sewungu felt wasted and picked his stuff and walked out the committee only to return rejoin much later on. Many fellow MPs felt he was right to walk out because even though he is a senior legislator, Muwadda the chairman had humiliated him much by not picking him to say something as soon as his hand went up.

Strangely this not being allowed to ask many questions is the same complaint Muwadda himself used to make as a COSASE member when Joel Senyonyi and later on Medard Segona chaired the same committee and didn’t allow him to talk as often and as for long as he wanted.

He is also now growing and learning on the job, which is why majority observers feel he has grown into an excellent and balanced COSASE chairman as opposed to the very unreasonable militant many journalists reporting from the Parliament feared he was going to be.
