The Kamwenge Chief Magistrate’s Court has charged a Legal Assistant with two counts of uttering false documents contrary to Section 328 of the Penal Code Act.
Darius Ninsiima, 30, a Legal Assistant at Akandwanirira and Company Advocates in Kamwenge Town Council, appeared before the court on Wednesday following investigations by the police.
According to the charge sheet, Ninsiima knowingly and fraudulently uttered a false Notice of Motion for a bail application at Kamwenge Chief Magistrate’s Court on May 28.
The prosecution alleges that the document purported to have been signed by Robert Monday, a remandee, when actually, Monday is not the one who signed it.
In the second count, Ninsiima is accused of uttering a false affidavit in support of the Notice of Motion for bail application, which also purported to have been signed by the same remandee when it had not.
