Staff of the Kasana–Luwero Diocese have been encouraged to embrace creativity and innovation in the execution of their duties. The call was made by the Rt. Rev. Lawrence Mukasa, Bishop of Kasana–Luwero Diocese, in a message delivered on his behalf by the Vicar General, Msgr. Vincent De Paul Mukiibi, during the Kasana–Luwero Diocesan Staff Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Diocesan headquarters.

Msgr. Mukiibi delivered greetings from the bishop, saying he loves them all. He said the bishop sent him to ask them to be cooperative in their work, emphasizing that they cannot work in isolation. He further noted that Bishop Mukasa thinks that the diocese cannot grow minus creativity.

He urged staff members to cultivate creativity and innovation as they carry out their responsibilities. Creativity, he said, is essential for the diocese because it enables staff to find new and effective ways of serving the faithful, especially in an era where pastoral needs are constantly evolving.

He explained that creative thinking allows departments to design engaging evangelization programs, improve communication, and make diocesan services more accessible to parishioners.

According to Msgr. Mukiibi, it also helps staff solve local challenges using cost-effective approaches, especially in the context of limited resources. Through creativity, he adds that staff can develop fresh methods of youth outreach, strengthen community engagement, and enhance teamwork across departments.

Furthermore, the Prelate observed that innovation encourages continuous learning and fosters a positive working environment where ideas are shared freely. By embracing creativity, the diocese is better positioned to grow spiritually, strengthen its administrative efficiency, and respond more effectively to the pastoral needs of its people.
