Those who retained their seats are NRM’s Juma Odero of South West Parish, NRM’s Wanyama Bashir Elolo from North East B word, NRM’s George Kikomeko, Wabwire Hamza of NUP party, NRM’s Zibula Lugudo from North C word, and Suzan Wandera, among others.

Suzan Wandera, the Busia deputy mayor, said that her success is due to the good representation she made in the council. Loss of her fellow incumbents is due to failure to convince voters in the final tenure.

Bashir Wanyama, another councilor, said that he worked hard to balance service delivery by pushing for the construction of Busia health center 3 in Sofia and fighting against criminal acts among youths.

He promised to focus on ensuring good road networks, good health services, and lobby for jobs for youths in the district.

Lugudo Zabula said that she is going to begin from where she had stopped by, ensuring that there’s proper service delivery to the community members in her area of jurisdiction.
