Charles Lukwago has returned to KCCA after four years in the ongoing transfer window.
The goalkeeper’s return was confirmed via the club’s official website today, Sunday, September 9, 2025.
“KCCA announces the re-signing of former captain and celebrated captain,” the statement partly reads.
The goalkeeper joins the Lugogo-based side after running down his contract at a South African side Venda FC.
Lukwago has put pen to a two-year employment contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The goalkeeper’s first stint started in 2016 and he managed to win and achieve a lot for the club under the guidance of coach Mike Mutebi.
Lukwago left in 2021 having won two Uganda Premier League trophies (2017 and 2019) and two Uganda Cup trophies (2017 and 2018).
